Apart from investing in good quality fishing equipment, the maintenance of the equipment also plays an important role. In order to extend the life of your reels, it is best to perform regular maintenance on the reel and we recommend cleaning and re-lubricating them once a year, more with heavy use or use in saltwater. A little bit goes a long way, so only place a minimal amount of oil in the areas needed. It is important to not over lubricate – more is not better in this case.
